Planning plays a critical role in the implementation of DeArco Inc superior safety program.
Our Staff manages a variety of considerations as we oversee the oilfield services that we provide. One of the most important concerns we must control, particularly in the oil and gas industry, is SAFETY.
Our goal is to operate safe projects. Compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, TCEQ and OUR CLIENT’S specific safety rules and regulations comes naturally when we Do it For the Right Reason.
• Acceptance Comes from the Top Down – The vision of a safe worksite begins with our company’s leadership. They set the tone, agree to and enforce standards, pay for the training and equipment and establish the concept that safety is the ONLY way of doing business.
• Plan Ahead – Every project has its own unique risks. We Devote time before the projectstartup to identify those risks and establish a plan to address them. We communicate this safety analysis every day to workers, so they know what hazards to expect and how to eliminate or control them to maintain a safe working environment.
• Training – Our Management Staff receives the following safety training: CPR-First Aid, PEC CORE, and OSHA 30 Hour. Our work crews receive the following safety training: CPR-First Aid, and PEC Basic Safety Orientation. In addition to the training, each work crew attends a daily Jobsite Safety Analysis (JSA) briefing before the start of work and attends a monthly safety meeting conducted by the Department Supervisor.
Safety Inspections
Following on the heels of planning and training, the third component of DeArco’s successful safety program is to conduct safety inspections of our projects; during the initial setup, when they are active, and during completion and cleanup. Inspections are conducted by On-Site Work Leads daily. Department Supervisors inspect each project on a weekly basis. Our Safety Director visits and inspects our projects randomly each month. Inspections consist of observing work processes, documenting procedural violations, identifying potential hazards, and implementing corrective actions. Often, these inspections result in procedural changes that are incorporated into the daily pre-task planning.
